firstly i love the striking black seed head (dandelion?) against the green background. The black border is also a great choice as this ...

........................
Been awhile since i have last done a post, lots been happening

I very recently got back my 50D which was covered with dust everywhere (sensor was a dirt bug) :bug: including the camera body inside too. I was naturally a bit peeved off at this after only 4 months of having it.

Fast forword 1 month later i have it back in great condition and with thanks to calumet and canon for a good service. An electrical fault had developed and a plastic part had dropped down in front of the sensor unit.

No wonder it wouldnt shoot correctly..:O

the fabled error 99 popped up, apparently thats just a general error code that is used when canon dont quite know the cause.

My 50D is much better know, more so than when i bought it, i still have a few very small specks of dust inside the viewfinder. Im happy to leave it though as its still usable and not affecting the picture in any way.

On other notes apart from my 50D having a minor breakdown, i had a blip breakdown some weeks back. I don't usually state much about my mental health side, since 14 i have been coping with a condition called APD or better know as anxious personality disorder. I gather its quite a wide spread condition/illness etc that occasionally for what ever reason(s) can affect a persons thinking pattern, irrational disastrous thoughts run wild and such.

Its a horrid state of mind, thankfully with medications and folks (who know better than me) mention that a couple more years age/coping skills should help a long way.

Wiser in age anyone?

At one stage i was eager to mention to them "an irrational mind is caused by young age? "

somehow i got a few giggles out of that one.

Beside that, I'm happy to see some form of warm sun appearing. It makes such a big improvement for my mood/skin too. All that cloudy overcast sky is now replaced with clear blue background heh.

I have decided to resit the rest of my btec course in september, looking forward to finalizing it.

ta for now

I would like to add that I'm extremely grateful for all the favorites and adds you lovely people give me.

*also not forgetting the print buys

thanks yup i know that heh, static charge and all. I got told that its a common problem on some canon cameras, the oils inside the shutter mechanism can be overused when in manufacture.

Its best to clean once a month, dependent on how much usage the shutter gets really.

The more use a new camera gets the more the oils (lubricant) wears off, thus the oils don't get splattered onto the low pass filter.

Its good to know you are not actually having the sensor placed directly in front without a low pass filter on top.

:)

when my 50D was covered after 4months canon said that over half of the specs were not dust, some kind of oily residue. Canon were very hesitant to say what kind so i asked elsewhere.

why dont canon just state it themselves?, would make it a whole lot easier. Plus their customers would be far more pleased in canon stating this.

I for one would surely feel better in knowing im dealing with an honest reputable camera giant of a company.

Just a friendly hint you may already know, but it is very important to turn your camera off when you change lenses or take off a lens. When the camera is on the sensor is charged and will pull any and all dust to it. So if you take off you lens while the camera is on the sensor will get covered with dust. Hope this is helpful.

Aaron
